Process

  1. Understand

    Every project starts with listening. I get to know your goals, your audience and where you stand today, until it’s clear what the result needs to achieve.

  2. Plan

    Goals become a plan: structure, moodboards, first screens, motion studies. You see early on where it’s heading, and have your say before a single line of code is written.

  3. Build

    I build every interaction, every animation and every line of code myself, tested for speed, accessibility and impact. You’ll see progress along the way.

  4. Evolve

    Launch is just the beginning. I monitor, refine and keep improving, so your site grows with your business.

Who I am

I’m Jan Sander, a designer and developer from Berlin. BASE BUILD is my studio for digital experiences.

I handle brands, websites, software and motion myself. From the first idea to launch, you work with one person.

How I think

I don’t believe in templates. Every project starts with the question of how it should feel. Only then come colours, shapes and code.

An image that responds as you scroll. A logo that breathes in real time. A tool that takes work off your team’s hands every day. That’s what digital architecture means to me.
